Art Bamert, Jr. is a cradle Catholic who grew up in St. Louis, MO. He attended Catholic middle school and high school and then headed west to the Rockies to seek his fortune and find the meaning of life. He ended up learning how to ski, rediscovering his faith and meeting his lovely wife Donna. Art has been married for over 30 years to his wife Donna, a pediatric Oncology nurse. They have two children and reside in the beautiful bucolic Borough of Elizabethtown, PA.

In 1997 he was invited by his new Pastor to take an unofficial volunteer led youth ministry program and make it an official part of the life of the parish. He took on the task of setting that program up as the parish’s first Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry.  In 2006 he moved to campus ministry and began his service at Lancaster Catholic High School,  in Lancaster Catholic High School as the Associate Director of Campus Ministry. He held that position through the spring of 2018.  In May of 2018 he accepted the position of Interim Director of Campus Ministry.  During his time at Lancaster Catholic he was instrumental in helping to develop and manage a Campus Ministry program that includes over two dozen retreat options and a large campus ministry center serving students and faculty.

Art has authored numerous articles, ministry materials, and prayers for Catholic youth, including a Stations of the Cross and is currently working on a novel for young adults. Art speaks to youth and adults on a variety of topics as well as planning and running retreats. His favorite being the Lord of the Rings Retreat that he conceived and developed with the help of fellow faith filled Lord of the Rings devotes from Lancaster Catholic High School.
